Hm, I may not be familiar with the characters directly, but these two appear to be quite close!

Absolutely amazing! The radiant colors, the intricate detail of the fur, nothing is overdone! This is superb.

I didn't even notice at first that the background doesn't have much detail - it's like sponge art, in a way. xD But it matches the rest of your picture perfectly, anyhow!
