(c) Hasbro / Lauren Faust Anthropomorphic version, design and artwork by Tyson Tan.
EDIT: 2013-02-26, added more detail, subtle expression adjustment, simple background and color management fix.
This is my anthropomorphic version of Queen Chrysalis of the changelings. In this picture, I depicted her as a younger queen, not long after her ascending to the throne. She was still a shy and gentle girl here.
I really liked their take on Queen Chrysalis. Unlike most ruler villain who would just sit behind the curtain, she as the queen risked her life to infiltrated enemy territory, all alone, fighting bravely against enemies that much more powerful than her, for the fortune of her people. Even though she looked mean and evil in her plots, deep in her heart she might just wanted to find her true love. Besides, if changelings depend on LOVE to live, then I think they are not necessarily BAD, don't they? At least Shinning Armor's love didn't seem to be affected at all after the event.
I guess Queen Chrysalis may actually just wanted to JOIN Equestria, but she had forgot how to be kind to other races, after all the hardships her kind may had suffered. Well, just another fanboy imagination! Hope you enjoy the picture!

This is just fantastic! I absolutely love how Chrysalis is drawn here. It shows quite a different side of; the cute and humble one.
I kind of was expecting her dress to be in tatters, just like her body. But the flawless seams of the dress imply a nicer side of the Changeling Princess.
I do believe that her wings should be a bit larger; they seem kind of out of proportion.
Now I view Chrysalis as one the more beautiful villains there are. This is honestly a great piece of work. I can't wait to see how Cadence turns out!
Wow! I am very impressed with this deviantation, and I love your other work (And lineless work is cool 030)
The shading is very well done, and the dress does have that silky fabric-like texture to it. Not only that but the shape of the dress and layers to it is creative and original and so are the sleeves. The colors were probably an obvious choice, and the flower is a cute touch also. You made the horn-holes good too, showing how deep they went into the horn. Chrysalis' hair is very cute also, I really like the mane/hair-style, I like to wear something like that. However, Even thought I like this, I noticed that besides the horn and colors, Chrysalis dosn't have that "evil" look in herself. Maybe you could try to add a vicous or mean look next time you draw an evil pony. Same along with the wings. I somehow like/dislike it, like how it's pretty but kind of too much for a queen of the changelings.
