Freya from FF9 when she was young. This is one of the pictures I made for a Japanese doujinshi [link] It's my first time taking part in doujin activities.
I love this piece. The overall color and tone scream happiness and joy. I love the design and attention to detail within the skirt. I thoroughly enjoyed the colors used for the lighting. The soft skin tone and smile are cute to the overall tone. A few things that bother me a bit, though Im sure it is suppose to represent the reflections from the grass and flowers, on the sleeve bother me. It has hints of gray and look overly smudged in my opinion. However other than that, I love the overall composition, and look forward to seeing more of your work. Possibly even other FFIX cast members.
First off, I loved Freya in the series, she had on of the most contrasting and in depth characters in the entirety of the FF universe. Which I think this piece displays nicely, the battle helmet of the dragon knight and a summer dress, showing both sides of the personality, emphasized and tied together by the bouquet of flowers.. giving a more sensitive correlation between the two. What I like about it the most is that is shows her in a way that I have never seen, except in anticipation, she is happy, perhaps from the period of time that she was with Sir Fratley, or in memory of those time's surely not when they were re-united.. but hopefully of the future after the story was completed. The only con's of this piece is the contrast I see in the cloth, that may be worked in a bit better to match that of the helmet, but beyond that, I think it's pretty solid =] Good job.
I have yet to play Final Fantasy IX, but I like the concept of Freya as a character. And this drawing is just... adorable. Which may or may not fit with her normal personality, but I think she could certainly be cute if she tried, whether or not she actually would nonwithstanding.
I passed by this and went to the next two pictures after it, but then I realized how amazing it was so I went back Her face is just so sweet :3 Love the colours and tone
She looks so sweet and happy. Im sure those flowers are from Sir Fratly. Freya is my fav character aswell and you did an amazing job, I wouldnt change a thing
