I was asked on tumblr that if I had drawn a monkey android. I don't have a monkey character because I had bad memories with monkeys [link] But I think it's time for me to overcome my trauma.
This is Wukong Thunderstorm the Gray Langur [link] android. His concept is a mixture of Indian Hanuman [link] and Chinese Sun Wukong [link] . It's not hard to tell how Cloud learned his Thunderstorm form from him, but I don't have a position for him in the story of SYNC yet.
Other SYNC characters:
Make with: Ubuntu [link] Operating System. Krita [link] Drawing and coloring. GIMP [link] Typography. All tools I used are free and open sourced. I appreciate the effort of all open source communities that make this possible.

The first thing that pops into my mind upon seeing this is the old TV show, "Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force GO!" Like in a Anime version. Enough of memorys for the moment, time for business. (On my bad computer, so there might be some misspellings.)
The color scheme is very well done, and the lines of "lighting" are very well drawn for the molding of this character. The shading on this piece is very good and very well done. It's important for an artist for them to remain in their art style. You show no straints of changing your art style any time soon.
The only thing I find wierd in this picture is that you made the pole or rod that he's holding only 3D at the end of the picture. It looks like hes holding something flat on his shoulder and out towards the left. Otherwise, no other probelms.
I like the design, the layout, the perspective you get off of it. The contrasting colours of cyan blue and golden yellow stand out well on this character and the eyes have a greater impact. The pose works well with the facial expression, I get the message that "I'm wanted" to join an adventure of some sort, this design brings you in relation to the character. Few things I have to point out. The lines around the right hand (left side) are a bit iffy, it's that the word. Regardless of the direct light positioning in this picture, along with the camera angle you've chosen, the shadows underneath I presume were rushed and had little care/attention. Looking towards your other pictures I see a more depth shadow under them. However you can argue this is the character design and I respect that. But if this was my work, I'd re-do the shading just for good measures. Other than that I must admit this is something spontaneous. Simply outstanding. Well done!
Should see about passing this on to the makers of League of Legends. See if they will accept the design since they have the money king as a character in their MOBA!
Have you ever tried making a Gold Version of this Android? I was wondering if you could try to put a Super mode for this guy, he's my favourite so Far XD

I give this piece, in my view, a 9.5/10
