I was saying that I will make tutorial when GIMP 2.8 is out. But I changed my mind since it can be too far away. I will start to make the tutorial right away base on its current release. I also designed a mascot character for the tutorial, based on its coyote icon.

Yeah, there are too many sports events this year, after all those I had done, we still have 2 lions [link] and 5 goats! [link] Of course I'm gonna draw them all! Lyo and Merly will be the next update of my Mascot Mania series. Ha!ha!

Yeah, a lot of people have been asking this for a long time.
I didn't make one simply because:

• I'm not good enough.

• Photoshop is too expensive.

• GIMP is too difficult for new users.

• I don't use SAI.

Some of you may remember that just after team.mixill's disband, I moved almost everything I own at that time into SYNC project. Even though I extracted OASIS from it later, it doesn't seem to be enough. SYNC is simply holding too much of my crazy concepts so I decided to break it into individual pieces.

You may be suffering inconsistency from picture to picture before the update is finished. I expect it can be done in early April.

After I re-organize SYNC, it will be separated into 3 different series, LEGACY, SYNC and A3. LEGACY and SYNC are now completely independent on each other, they do not share anything on their storyline and world setting. A3 is a character library, and I may be using them in other series, for example, Azure.


LEGACY: Planetary memories
Carries everything from SYNC -Planetary memories-, focus on drawing beautiful scenery.
An illustrated collection showing an android fox and the last living human girl traveling through the earth which human had left behind.


SYNC
Carries everything from SYNC -Synthetic Dreams-, focus on SF world settings.
Natural born humans extincted after a virus-like nano-machine leakage, leaving their newly created high intellectual androids behind. SYNC shows not only a world that nature and machines co-exists harmony together, but also the funny everyday life of those synthetic creatures. No battle will be shown. SF parts on daily life will be solid build.


Anthro Android Alliance
A new series established recently, focus on cool character designs.
A3 works as a character concept library of combative anthropomorphic androids. Each character has his or her own profile and background story. They won't have any connection with each other. Some of these characters will also appear in my other projects.

Hi, everyone! Sorry for not being around here with you for 3 months. How have you been?

The reason for my absence is that I've found a job. Yeah, a JOB. I'm now working as an inspector in an open college. Sadly, it's not about drawing or designing, I guess sometimes life just goes that way. A job that is stable and well-paid, trading in less freedom and endless boring chores. However, under the tough job market in China currently, this could be the best place I can ask for. After all, China has never been a friendly place for creativity industry. And, became a "teacher" just after graduate from university made me feel really odd. The first 3 months was the high time of my college, I had been working 12-16 hours a day in this period, therefore I could not even have time to draw anything. It was really a bad time, heavy work but little reward on my broken heart. ^^b

Finally, now things seem to be getting better, and I've become much more familiar to the custom of my workplace. I think it may be the time to restart my work on DA sharing my arts and designs and stories with you.
